Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

A memorial event was held at Huseyn Javid's House Museum on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the great poet and playwright Hussein Javid's death.

The memorial ceremony was attended by scientists, public figures and mass media representatives.

Director of the museum, Doctor of Philology Gulbaniz Babakhanli spoke at the event about Hussein Javid's intangible life, rich literary creativity. Hussein Javid died on December 5, 1941 at the age of 59 in the village of Shevchenko in the Tayshet region of the Irkutsk region of Russia. By the direct support of National leader Heydar Aliyev his body was brought from Far Siberia to Azerbaijan on October 26, 1982. According to the order of the great leader Heydar Aliyev Huseyn Javid home museums were created in Baku and Nakhchivan, G.Babakhanli lined out.

Then guests got acquainted with valuable exhibits in the museum's "Javid's tragedy".

At the end the film "Return" has been demonstrated.
