Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The general meeting of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan and the Board of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan will hold a joint scientific session "Human Health - the Basis of the Azerbaijani Society". The purpose of the session is to deepen scientific research in the field of medicine and practical health, especially in the field of stem cells, and to strengthen integration between medical science and education, as well as better coordination of activities in this field.

At the next meeting of the Presidium of ANAS, which was held on December 20, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Biological and Medical Sciences, academician Ahliman Amiraslanov spoke on this issue. He noted that, in recent years, along with other scientific branches in Azerbaijan, medical science is also developing seriously, as evidenced by studies conducted by new methods and with the help of modern equipment in scientific research institutions under the authority of ANAS and the Ministry of Health, as well as application of the results obtained in clinical practice. The academician said that in scientific research, such principles as modernity, multidisciplinary, multicenter and international cooperation are especially relevant.

After discussion, Presidium adopted a resolution on holding a joint scientific session in February 2018 and preparing an action plan in connection with this.
