On January 16, the Central Scientific Library of ANAS hosted an event titled "Establishing sustainable cooperation in the field of information security" organized by CSL and the Human Rights Commissioner of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Director of the Institute of Petrochemical Processes named after Yusif Mammadaliyev, acad. Vagif Abbasov gave information about the activities of the Ombudsman in the field of legal education in our country.
Leyla Imanova, director of the CSL, PhD in medicine, praised the Ombudsman's submission of a collection of electronic publications to the library. Stating that the process of incorporating the collections belonging to various organizations in electronic format into the National Digital Memory (MRI) database was continuing in 2018, L.Imanova noted the important results of the CSL in 2017.
Later, CSL employee Khayala Kerimova spoke about the life and activities of the Ombudsman, Professor Elmira Suleymanova and presented her publications.
Head of the Bibliography Department of Baku State University, Professor Nadir Ismayilov underlined the importance of the project in terms of protection and use of information.
At the event prof. Elmira Suleymanova spoke about the works in the direction of human rights and freedoms, the value given by national leader Heydar Aliyev to education and library. Noted the importance of the collection and preservation of documents in the CSL. Emphasizing the importance of young people's attention to science and education, Suleymanova highlighted the invaluable role of libraries in this issue. She called the electronic edition of his organization as a good choice in terms of information policy.
Later, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the two bodies.
In conclusion, Professor Suleymanova and Aslan Mammadli were presented honorary reader card of the library.
