Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Trade Union Committee of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS Institute of Radiation Problems  held an event dedicated to the February 2 - Day of Youth.

Opening the event, Director of the institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Oktay Samedov noted that, the youth policy put forward by the national leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully implemented today by AR President Ilham Aliyev entered a new stage. He noted that, young scientists and specialists of the Institute of Radiation Problems play an important role in the scientific and public life of the Academy, and the results of their research work are published in international journals with a high impact factor.

O.Samedov also noted that, a number of stimulating measures have been taken in his institution to attract young people to science.

Then, Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics, Associate Professor Famin Salmanov spoke about the development of a new scientific generation in the academy and works carried out in this direction.

Speaking about the tasks assigned to young people at a new stage in the development of the academy, F.Salmanov emphasized that young scientists are participating in new scientific research in scientific research institutions and their role in the social and political life of ANAS is increasing.

At the event, members of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists-Associate Professor Orkhan Abbasov, Gafil Demirov and others also congratulated participants on the Day of Azerbaijani Youth and wished them new successes in their future activities.

In conclusion, a group of young people who distinguished themselves in the scientific and public activities of the Institute were awarded diplomas and cash prizes.
