An event dedicated to the International Mother Language Day was held on February 21, organized by the Institute of Linguistics named after Nasimi of ANAS.

M.Najisoylu noted that maintaining the purity of mother tongue, controlling the expectation of literary language norms, and clearing the language from foreign language is the main task of the enterprise today.

Then director of the Ataturk Center in Azerbaijan, academician Nizami Jafarov spoke about the importance of love for the mother tongue from babyhood in the new generation. The academician stressed that so far, the Persian, Arabic and European languages ​​have a strong impact on the Azerbaijani language, and the use of the Russian language is at the household level.
