ANAS Institute of Microbiology an event dedicated to the World Civil Defense Day.

Chief of staff of the Civil Defense of this scientific institution Bakhtiyar Yunusov told about the significance of this day. It was noted that since 1972, by the decision of the International Civil Defense Organization, March 1 in all countries is celebrated as World Civil Defense Day. Azerbaijan has been a member of this international organization since 1993. According to Yunusov, the main task of the Civil Defense authorities is to provide defense and training of the population in the field of protection from emergency situations.

It was noted that, the main objectives of the Civil Defense include taking measures to prevent emergencies, industrial accidents and other accidents, conducting educational work in this direction, as well as implementing a plan for preventive measures.
