Two monographs on mugam have been published within the grant project of the Science Development Foundation (EDF) under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

In "Mugam philosophy" correspondent member of ANAS Konul Bunyadzade mainly studied mugam  as a meditation. For this purpose, philosophical comparisons between mugam and philosophical movements, especially Sufism, are underway in the monograph. A parallel study of Mugam with the national history of thought reveals a number of important points of national mentality.

The monograph "Historical roots of Azerbaijani mugham", presented in Russian by Sevil Farhadova, is based on the results of the interdisciplinary research that describes the history of mugham and its genesis. The monograph explains many questions about the conceptual content of mugham collection, with the conceptuality of geometry and number widely presented in all spheres of Azerbaijan cultural heritage.

Monographs are intended for philosophers, musicologists, artists, psychologists, phenomenologists and other specialists in the fields of science, researchers and the wide range of readers.
