The textbook "The Origin of Cultivated Plants", compiled for the first time in the Azerbaijani language, provides information on botanical and geographical peculiarities of cultivated plants, rare species, origin, distribution area, chemical composition, significance, taxonomy, multi-species centers and their protection. The new publication, being the main information base on the centers of distribution of cultivated plants, is a valuable resource for biodiversity assessment, environmental protection and the implementation of curricula for secondary and higher education institutions.
