The work, within the framework of the joint project of the American and Azerbaijani seismologists "Caucasian cut" is continue. In connection with this, American seismologists, Professor Erik Sandvol from the University of Missouri, research fellow of this university Utk Kochum, chief engineer of the seismological laboratory of the department of geological sciences of the Michigan State University Daniel Burk, as well as employees of ANAS Republican Seismic Survey Center (RSSC) - head of the epicenter department of the RSSC Idayat Tairov and head of the department of International Relations of RSSC Telman Jafarov conducted maintenance work on the upgrade to the placed in Hajigabul, Neftchala, Goychay and Gusar regions of four seismic stations.

According to the report, the data of these stations are also collected for processing. At the same time in August this year in Ismayilli, Guba and Gusar districts will be identified the location of another 14 profile stations.

It should be noted that the purpose of the "Caucasian cut" project is the conduct of seismic tomography surveys in the territory of Azerbaijan.
