A presentation of historical-geographical and ethnographic atlas "Dede Gorgud yurdu-Nakhchivan" was held at Nakhchivan Division of ANAS.

Chairman of the Division, academician Ismayil Hajiyev spoke about the importance of the historical-geographical and ethnographic atlas of "Dede Gorgud Nakhichevan-Nakhchivan" presented to the public. He noted that the registration of numerous names of places in the territory of Nakhchivan on "Kitabi-Dede Gorgud" epos once again confirms that this region is an ancient Oguz dynasty and Azerbaijani land.

Recalling the Decree "On the 1300th Anniversary of Kitabi Dada Gorgud" signed by National Leader Heydar Aliyev on April 20, 1997, the head of the department underlined that many of these historical arrangements have played an important role in the comprehensive study of the Kitabi-Dede Gorgud epos .

It was noted that the Decree of 20 February 2015 on the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the first translation and publication of Kitabi Dada Gorgud in the German language signed by the President Ilham Aliyev is remarkable. Based on the Action Plan approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, it was decided to prepare a historical-geographical and ethnographic atlas "Dede Gorgud Nakhichevan-Nakhchivan".

It was noted that the Action Plan on the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the first edition of "Kitabi Dada Gorgud" in the German language and publication in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was approved by the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated 25 July 2015.

Director of the Manuscripts Fund, Doctor of Philology, Farman Khalilov, Director of the Department of Manuscripts, made a report on the theme " A valuable contribution to the study of Gorgud" and noted that the atlas was closely linked with the Nakhchivan epic "Kitabi-Dede Gorgud" epic. Publishers and designers of the publication are Academician Ismayil Hajiyev (managing editor), corresponding members of ANAS - Fakhraddin Safarli, Abulfaz Guliyev, Qadir Gadirzade, Vali Bakhshaliyev, PhDs on Philology - Firudin Rzayev, Akram, Atlas Publishing House Huseynzadeh, Rashad Zulfugarov, PhD in history Asaf Orujov, PhD in Geography Nazim Bababeyli, Jafar Aliyev and Fakhraddin Eylazov.

Then head of the folklore department of the Institute of Art, Language and Literature Elkhan Mammadov and Head of Ethnography Department of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology, PhD in History Asaf Orujov spoke on the topic.
