The next meeting of Presidium of ANAS Nakhchivan Division was held.

Chairman of the Division, academician Ismayil Hajiyev recalled President Ilham Aliyev's order dated 9 April 2018 "On the establishment of the Day of Science in the Republic of Azerbaijan", according to the document, March 27 will be celebrated as the Day of Science in our country every year. He emphasized that the Decrees and Orders signed by the Head of State reflect the high attention and care shown to the development of science in our country.

Later on, I. Hajiyev spoke about the tasks of the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Vasif Talibov, at the opening ceremony of the Nakhchivan Salt Museum, which was established on September 12, 2017. The scientist pointed out the relevant instructions given by Nakhchivan Division of ANAS on archeological excavations connected with Nakhchivan salt, preparation of book on Nakhchivan salt and composition of Nakhchivan salt.

Employee of the Institute of Bioresources, doctor of biological sciences Fatmakhanim Nabiyeva was awarded the Honorary Diploma of the Division on the occasion of the 60th anniversary.

Academician I.Hajiyev congratulated Head of Hydrogeology and Mineral Water Laboratory of the Institute of Natural Resources, PhD in Chemistry, Associate Professor Fizza Mammadova getting the name of Professor of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and on awarding the title of “Honored Scientist and Technician”.

Then Zeynab Guliyeva, PhD in History, Head of the Department of Archeology of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology, presented the report on "The importance of Nakhchivan's Eneolithic Culture for the South Caucasus".

The next issue on the agenda was related to the approval of the dissertations by the PhD and doctor’s dissertations of the Division.

At the end a number of staff and current issues were considered.
