Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan Mekan Ishanguliyev visited Central Scientific Library of ANAS.

Visiting CSL’s funds, reading rooms, Bibliographic Surveys, Oriental Literature and Rare Book Fund, Diplomatic Fund located in the Academician's Hall, as well as documents protected by the library's other information-backed spots. The guest said that the Diplomatic Fund will enrich the corner of Turkmenistan with new books.

The diplomat, who is closely involved with the process of establishment and operation of the CSL, stressed the importance of the digitalization process carried out here.

Director of the library, PhD in medicine Leyla Imanova spoke about the importance of exchange of friendship between the countries and the exchange of books in the development of cultural relations. She informed the guest about the necessity of exchange of experience and cooperation with the leading libraries of Turkmenistan, giving information about the Association of Academic Libraries of the Turkic-speaking countries, the Unified Registration System implemented by the Central Scientific Library, National Digital Memory projects.
