A conference on "The image of Heydar Aliyev in literature: from historical realities to the ideal" was held at ANAS Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Opening the event, Vice-President of ANAS, director of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami, academician Isa Habibbeyli spoke about the invaluable merits of the world-famous politician Heydar Aliyev in preserving and developing the independent Azerbaijani state. He stressed that, the outstanding statesman Heydar Aliyev was one of the world's great political leader.

Opening the event, vice-president of ANAS, director of the institute academician I.Habibbeyli noted that it was due to the purposeful policy of the great leader Heydar Aliyev in the 70-80s of the 20th century that Azerbaijani literature glorified the national and spiritual values of the people. And this ultimately led the struggle for national ideals to the level of the great movement in the life of the country's society.

It was noted that in the book "The image of Heydar Aliyev in literature: from historical realities to the ideal" the image of Heydar Aliyev was first attracted to research in literature. Academician Isa Habibbayli told about the invaluable merits of the world-famous political figure Heydar Aliyev in preservation and the development of an independent Azerbaijani state. He stressed that the outstanding statesman Heydar Aliyev was one of the world's great political leader.

At the conference the reports of corresponding member of ANAS Tehran Mustafayev made a report on "The image of Heydar Aliyev in folklore and artistic prose", doctor of philology Alizade Askerli on "The image of Heydar Aliyev in literary thought", Ph.D. in philology Elnara Akimova on "Literary and philological portrait of Heydar Aliyev in poetry ", etc.
