Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The scientific conference on "Heydar Aliyev's heritage: tradition and modernity" dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the Institute of Philosophy of ANAS.

The event was opened by the director of the institute, doctor of philosophy, Professor Ilham Mammadzadeh. He noted that, the outstanding statesman, national leader Heydar Aliyev is the architect and founder of modern Azerbaijan. He noted that, during the time of the great leader's leadership, many achievements were achieved in economic, political, scientific, cultural, military and other spheres, and signed the "Contract of the Century", which leads Azerbaijan to modern development.

The scientist said that, Heydar Aliyev always paid special attention to science and education, and in the 1960s and 1970s, the Azerbaijani youth had the opportunity to study at the leading universities of the USSR. He said that as the logic continuation of this attention, the first leader of the great leader, who came to power for the second time in our country, was the Azerbaijani intellectuals at ANAS.

Referring to the conference, Ilham Mammadzadeh stressed that, Heydar Aliyev always respected the traditions of our people and at the same time paid special attention to the the importance of modernity, that make our country an evolution in the international arena.

Director of the institute noted that, the tradition of the great leader, and the tradition of modernity, will be investigated by the enterprise headed by him in the coming years.

Honorary Art Worker Fakhriya Khalafova, speaking afterwards, said that the ability to inspire people to come and to find the way to difficult times is a key feature of leadership and that these nuances are concentrated in the great leader.

He emphasized that, Heydar Aliyev always attached importance to human capital and based on the foundation of our country's current development, the nationwide leader's inspiration to the future with simple citizens.

Then, F.Khalafova shared her memories about the great leader.

The conference were listened papers by PhD in Philosophy, Associate Professor Eynulla Madatli on "Political heritage of Heydar Aliyev: Nationalism and Humanity", Doctor of Science in Philosophy, Associate Professor Khatira Guliyeva on "Great Leader Mission of Heydar Aliyev", Doctor of Political Sciences Senan Hasanov on "Azerbaijan Party: the avant-garde of strong statehood".
