Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The agreement was signed between the Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the leader of the project “Innovation libraries: a study of international best practice and theory and application of the results in the system libraries of ANAS, which plays an important role in providing information science”, won the second competition of the joint ICT Fund science Development under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Communications and High Tech AP. Project Manager is Department Head of the Central Scientific Library of Azerbaijan (CSL), the chairman of the Council of young scientists and specialists CSL Narmina Abdullayev. The project purpose the studying of innovations, innovative changes, the technological innovations, new types of service for providing users with information in the field of a library science, application of the received results in activity of libraries of the country, in particular in activity of the Central scientific library.

Duration of the project is 9 months.

Also during this period on the basis of the gained experience is provided to develop the mechanism of application of innovative technologies in country libraries, generalization and the publication of the received scientific results under the general name “Library Innovatics”.
