"Nakhchivan in the history of statehood of Azerbaijan" monograph has been published by the chairman of Nakhchivan Division of ANAS, academician Ismayil Hajiyev.

The monograph includes the attitude of Azerbaijan to the ancient and medieval times, the occupation of the Nakhchivan khanate by the Russian Empire, the status of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the Nakhchivan Autonomy, struggle for the regain of the state independence of Azerbaijan, as well as the Nakhchivan period of political activity of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

During the years of independence, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has been involved in the study of the Azerbaijani statehood and other issues included.

The book, published in "Elm" publishing house, consists of eight chapters, results, bibliographies and supplements.

The first systematic research on the place and position of Nakhchivan in the history of statehood of Azerbaijan is reviewered by corresponding members of ANAS Fakhraddin Safarli and Vali Bakhshaliyev and editored by PhD in history, associate professor Emin Shikhaliyev.

529 books and Internet materials were used in Azerbaijani, Turkish, Russian and English languages.

The monograph "Nakhchivan in the history of statehood of Azerbaijan" is a valuable resource for those interested in historians and researchers, representatives of social science, as well as the history of the statehood of Azerbaijan.
