International Science and Engineering Fair, the world's largest student scientific competition, is also called the "Little Nobel Prize" competition.

It's no coincidence that more than 20 Nobel Prize laureates participated and the winner of the contest is awarded with a Gordon Moore award of $ 75,000.

About 7 million schoolchildren apply from different countries every year to participate in the exhibition since 1997. Schoolchildren representing our country at this exhibition are selected in the "Sabah's Scholars" competition.

The next International Science and Engineering Exhibition was held on 13-18 May at the United States organized by the Intel Foundation. More than 1800 schoolchildren from 75 countries have participated in the international exhibition.

The winners of the "Tomorrow's Scholars" contest held in February 2018 Aliaga Abdullayev and Adnan Bunyatov presented our country on physicist-astronomy, Javid Huseynzadeh and Ceyla Huseynzadeh on computer science, Fidan Ibrahimova on biology, pupil of secondary school № 238 of Baku city Mahammad Hajiyev on ecology and environment management divisions.

The success they provide is a great opportunity for them to study at US universities. Thus, pupils have already received offers to continue their education at the prestigious US educational institutions, such as the College of Technology, Missouri University, and the University of Stony Brook.

It should be noted that the "Youth Development Strategy of Azerbaijan in 2015-2025" approved by President Ilham Aliyev on January 26, 2015 envisages creation of "Science" in secondary schools.

In this regard, on the recommendation of Academician Akif Alizadeh, President of ANAS, important work is being done to organize "Science" corners and "Minor Academy" in schools in order to support their skills in science and technology, stimulate entrepreneurship and develop science in our country.

Thus, corners of Department of Biological Sciences have been created at secondary school named after academician Zarifa Aliyeva and Heydar Aliyev Modern Education Complex, corner of Chemistry Department at Baku European Lyceum. In addition, small academies have been established in a number of secondary schools and are constantly being assisted by ANAS.
