Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The book "Fundamentals of Functional Analysis" by outstanding scientist, academician Zahid Khalilov has been published in Moscow for the second time by the decision of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS.

The book was first published in Russian in 1949 in the publishing house of the Azerbaijan State University (BSU). Monograph is the first book published in the field of functional analysis in the former USSR.

Director of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS Misir Mardanov and Chief Scientific Officer of the institute Professor Mammad Bayramoglu wrote foreword.

An article titled "Zahid Khalilov's Role in the Development of Mathematical Science", which is co-authored by professors Misir Mardanov, Ramiz Aslanov and Araz Aliyev, is also included in the book.
