Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Institute of Science History of ANAS has prepared new essays on the history of natural sciences, formation and development stages of these sciences in Azerbaijan. The essays were published in accordance with the Decree of the President of ANAS, acad. Akif Alizadeh on "Preparation of essays on the history of natural science" dated December 30, 2016.

Science director of the book is academician Akif Alizadeh, author of the foreword, vice-president of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbayli, Scientific editor is director of the Institute of History of Science, Doctor of History Maryam Seyidbeyli, reviewers are Director of Botany Institute, academician Valida Alizade, director of Geography Institute, academician Ramiz Mammadov, Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs of the Institute of Physics, Academician Javad Abdinov, Director of Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory, Corresponding Member of ANAS Namik Jalilov, Deputy Director on Scientific Affairs of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry Institute, correspondent member of ANAS Mahammad Babanli.

The book reflects historical stages of the formation of natural sciences, history of formation as independent science in Azerbaijan, development directions of natural sciences in Azerbaijan SSR and etc.
