Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

On June 29, ANAS Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology held an event dedicated to the 90th anniversary of outstanding scientist, academician Jalal Aliyev.

First of all, participants of the event - employees of the scientific institute, Botanical Institute, Dendrology Institute, Scientific Research Institute of Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan and scientists’ students visited Alley of Honor and planted flowers in front of his grave.

Vice-president of ANAS, director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, acad. Irada Huseynova said that she was proud of Jalal Aliyev's school. Speaking about his teacher's outstanding service in Azerbaijani science, positive human qualities, I. Huseynov has noted that the late scientist has always been an example for his students as an individual.

At the end, a documentary film "Life dedicated to science" was demonstrated.
