Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On July 9, the General Meeting of the Department of Earth Sciences of ANAS was held. Academician-secretary of the department, academician Fakhraddin Gadirov, members of the bureau, heads of scientific institutions included in the division and employees on relevant issues participated at the event.

Academician Fakhraddin Gadirov said that the agenda of the general assembly included the election of the deputy secretaries and members of the Bureau.

Then the proposals of the members of the division and the bureau were discussed and the elections were held.

Academicians Akper Feyzullayev and Parviz Mammadov were elected Deputy academician-Secretary of the Department.

The new composition of the Bureau's was also identified at the meeting. Academicians Vasif Babazadeh, Hatam Guliyev, Ramiz Mammadov, Corresponding members of ANAS Elmira Ramazanova, Gurban Yetirmishli, Garib Jalalov, Elmira Aliyeva and Galib Efendiyev were elected members of the bureau. Doctor of sciences on earth sciences Gulam Babayev was elected as a member of the department.

By the decision of the department, the results were submitted to the Presidium of ANAS for approval.
