On July 16, at the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS, Gulu Kangarli, correspondent for Central Asia and Pakistan, presented books translated and published by Uzbek poets and writers in Tashkent.
Initially, the participants were translated into Uzbek and viewed from an exhibition of printed books.
Vice-President of the ANAS, Director of the Institute of Literature, academician Isa Habibbayli underlined the importance of the publication of our literary samples in Uzbekistan. He noted that Kangarli's great work has been done in promoting Azerbaijan as well as literature in Uzbekistan in the years he lived in Uzbekistan, thanks to his efforts, 20 books of Azerbaijani writers were published in Uzbek language.
Head of the Department of Turkology at Baku State University, Doctor of Philology Ramiz Askar, Professor Mammad Aliyev, employee of ANAS Folklore Institute Ali Shamil spoke highly of K. Kengerli's activity in propaganda of Azerbaijani literature. They said that the scientist plays a role of a bridge in the strengthening of Azerbaijani-Uzbek literary relations.
Expressing gratitude to the Institute of Literature for his attention and care, G.Kangarli emphasized that books of Jalil Mammadguluzadeh, Hussein Javid and other writers will be published in Uzbek in the near future. He also said that the Azerbaijani Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev plays an important role in the implementation of these works.
