On July 19, Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS hosted a discussion of the historical novel "Hunter" by writer-publicist Yunus Oguz.

Speaking at the event, vice president of ANAS, director of the Institute of Literature, academician Isa Habibbayli talked about the creativity of Y.Oguz and said that "Hunter" was devoted to the April wars of April 2016. Y.Oguz is the author of historical novels such as “Atabeys”, “Nadir Shah” and “Tahmasib shah”, I.Habibbayli underlined.

Then Elnara Garagozhova, the senior researcher at the Literature Institute, spoke of the importance of the novel "Hunter".

Modernity and history are united in Y.Oguz’s work. Great ideological sense, three epochs - Alp Arslan, Nadir shah and modern period are reflected in the novel, Corresponding member of ANAS Tehran Mustafayev emphasized.

Deputy director of the Institute of Literature, Doctor of Philology Alizade Askerli said that the novel "Hunter" is one of the most valuable examples of Y.Oguz's creativity.

Later, the deputy of the Milli Majlis, writer Aqil Abbas shared his views on the novel "Hunter", saying that distribution of such historical novels to libraries, especially educational institutions, can play an important role in strengthening the patriotism of young people.

Telman Mirzoyev, the father of National Hero Murad Mirzoyev, thanked Y.Oguz for the "Hunter" historical novel, expressed his belief that the victory won in April fights will be continued.

At the end, Yunus Oguz said that the "Hunter" novel was the first work he wrote about our modern history and that he would address this issue in his future activity again. He thanked the organizers and participants of the event.
