Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

A delegation led by vice-president of ANAS, Director of the Literature Institute named after Nizami, academician Isa Habibbeyli visited Udmurtia Republic of Russia.

Members of the delegation visited Udmurt's battle and labor monument, commemorating the memory of soldiers killed during the Great Patriotic War. An excursion was organized around the Parliamentary Museum of the Parliament building in the Republic.

An agreement on scientific cooperation was signed between the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan and Udmurtia Federal Research Center of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (UBRAS). The document was signed by Vice-President of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbeyli and Director of the UBRAS Udmurtia Federal Research Center, Alexei Seminikhin.

Copy of "Arshin Mal Alan" operetta, which was translated by the writer-translator Mikhail Petrov and performed in the 50s of the last century, was presented to the academician Isa Habibbayli.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Deputy Director of the Udmurtia Institute of History, Language and Literature, the Deputy Director of Science and Education Irina Krokhina, Deputy Minister of National Policy Nelli Mamayeva, Rector of the Kamsky Humanitarian and Engineering Technologies Institute, Professor Valeri Nikulin and others.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Press Council of Azerbaijan and the Union of Journalists of the Udmurtia Republic of Russian Federation. Memorandum was signed by chairman of Press Council Aflatun Amashov and Chairman of the Udmurtia Journalists Union Yelena Kapitonenko.

Later the delegation visited the famous folk musical collective "Buranovskiye Babushki" and watched the exhibits reflecting their activity.

A meeting was also held with the activists of the Azerbaijani Friendship Center in Udmurtia.
