Corresponding member of ANAS Islam Mustafayev was awarded with a medal named after V.Leqasov

Laboratory Head of the Institute of Radiation Problems, Corresponding Member of ANAS Islam Mustafayev was awarded with the medal of the International Academy of Sciences on Ecology and Life Safety V.A.Leqasov.

I.Mustafayev was awarded with this medal for his research on chemical and radiation safety, as well as in the field of atomic hydrogen energy.

It should be noted that the scientist was the co-founder of the "Atmosphere" scientific-research project dedicated to the Chernobyl accident in 1988 and the co-chair of the NATO's radiation safety project in the Caspian region. He is the author of about 15 inventions in this direction, about 100 articles published in high-impact magazines.

Let’s note that, the academy was established in 1993 in the Russian Federation and was associated with the United Nations Department of Public Information, as well as with the Economic and Social Committee. This medal was established by the Academy to perpetuate the memory of the hero of the Russian Federation, Valeri Alekseyevich Leqasov, who took an active part in eliminating the consequences of the Chernobyl accident.

Medal named after A.Leqasov is awarded to scientists and specialists who contribute to the provision of chemical, radiation and nuclear safety, to the enhancement of complex technical systems.
