Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The fundamental book "Medicinal Plants of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic" was published in Russian by the editorship of the State University of Humanitarian Technologies of the Orekhovo-Zuyevo District of the Russian Federation.

The authors of the book are academician Tariyel Talibov, director of ANAS Institute of Bioresources of Nakhchivan Division, academician Tariyel Ibrahimov, PhDs in Biology Anvar Ibrahimov, Ramiz Alakbarov, Head of Science Department of Azerbaijan State Agrarian University, PhD in Biology Abbas Ismayilov, PhD in Chemistry, associate professor Vahid Guliyev and chief teacher of Nakhchivan State University Ali Gurbanov. The scientific editor is a correspondent member of ANAS Elshad Gurbanov and the reviewers are corresponding members of ANAS Saleh Maharramov and Tofig Mammadov.

This is the first book, which includes 132 registered medicinal plants of Nakhchivan, their systematic condition, natural and operational reserves, chemical composition. It carries information about the definition of the distribution zones and the current state of medicinal and useful plants, maps of these zones are attached, the medicinal value of bioactive substances in their composition is learned, and for the treatment of various diseases. The publication shows color photographs, and the rules for collecting, drying and storing these plants.
