Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

On September 19, at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics  of ANAS was held a meeting with the famous film director, laureate of the State Prize of Azerbaijan, People's Artist Sheikh Abdul Mahmudov and a member of the Writers' Union of Azerbaijan, poet, translator, screenwriter Baba Veziroglu.

At the event Sheikh Abdullah Mahmudov stressed the importance of active participation of youth in the socio-political life of the country and special attention to their education.

Then, Baba Veziroglu read his famous poems such as “Məndən bir də olmayacaq”, “Xatirədir”, “Çıx qatar yoluna” and shared his creative memories.

In conclusion, Director of the Institute, corresponding member of ANAS Misir Mardanov wished both guests success in their work and donated memorable gifts.
