Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Azerbaijan Mikhail Bocharnikov visited ANAS National Museum of Azerbaijan History.

At the meeting, director of a scientific institution, academician Naila Velikhanli informed about the museum’s activities, she noted that, this building, one of the most beautiful architectural monuments of Baku, which was built in 1895-1897 and was belonged to Azerbaijani millionaire and philanthropist Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev.

Academician Naila Velikhanli also noted that, the museum serves as a research and cultural and educational institutions in the structure of ANAS.

The guest familiarized with examples of the Azerbaijan material culture and visited Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev Memorial Museum. He stressed the need to expand the historical, scientific and cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Russia.

In conclusion, Naila Velikhanli donated books from the museum to the ambassador, in an elegant design.
