An international symposium “The First Written Works of the Turkic People” was held in Karakol, organized by the Agency for Turkic Cooperation and Coordination, Turkey Bektash Cultural Circle, the Issyk-Kul University and the Presidium of the World Academy of Words.
Our country is represented by the director of the Institute of Folklore, academician Mukhtar Imanov and head of the Department of Foreign and social relations Ali Shamil. Mukhtar Imanov delivered a paper on “Two ritual and mythological motifs in verses "Dede-Gorgud” and Ali Shamil on “The role of Amin Abid in the propagation of “Kutadgu-bilik” by European study methods”.
In the framework of the symposium M.Imanov was awarded for merits in the field of Turkic world culture.
At the event, various reports were listened.
