Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

I International Scientific Conference on "History of Science and Science of science: Interdisciplinary Studies" was held by the Institute of Science History of ANAS.

Head of Department of Humanitarian Policy of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Professor Farah Aliyeva, vice-presidents of ANAS, academicians - Ibrahim Guliyev, Isa Habibbeyli, academician-secretary of Social Sciences Department, academician Nargiz Akhundova, directors of academy's scientific institutions and organizations and nearly 30 scientists from Russia, Ukraine, China and other countries.

Opening the conference, academician Isa Habibbayli spoke about the history, achievements, scientific researches and international relations of the Institute of History. He noted that starting from 2014, the enterprise has achieved a lot of success and has attracted attention both in the country and internationally.

The scientist also said the need to index the studies conducted in the direction of scientific studies by the Supreme Attestation Commission.

Afterwards, academician Nargiz Akhundova and director of the Institute of Science History, Doctor of History Maryam Seydibeyli noted that the SHI had established and cooperated with many scientific centers around the world in a short time. It was noted that the enterprise is carrying out multidisciplinary analysis of the sciences, justification of theoretical and methodological problems of science history, as well as studying the formation of historical views from ancient times to date.

Director of the Institute for the History of Natural Sciences and Technology named after S.I. Vavilov of Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), Ph.D. in history Dmitry Sherby's "History of science and technique of research in the period of change of the state administration of scientific activity", director of the St. Petersburg branch of that enterprise, PhD in politics Nadezhda Asheulova's "International academic cooperation in the field of professional societies on professional societies", director of the Institute of Natural Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zang Baychun’s "What Do Chinese Historians of science and technology focus on?" reports were listened.
