Experts of ANAS Institute of Botany held probation in Great Britain

Aida Dadashova, PhD student of department of Embryophyte Systematics of the Institute of Botany and Malahat Huseynova, specialist of department of Scientific Information and innovation held probation in Kew Royal Botanical Garden (Great Britain).

The course held within the framework of Global Plants Initiative cooperation (GPI) been chaired by Jonathan Kriger, Global Plant Initiative Project Coordinator.

The goal was digitizing specimens which stored in the herbarium fund of ANAS Institute of Botany, getting familiar with the UK experience in the development of herbarium data, including into a database and HerbScan, usage methods of cameras and other modern equipment as well as acquisiting of knowledge on the proper preparation of a database.

Successfully completing this course M.Huseynova and A.Dadashova has been awarded an international certificate.
