Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

“Elm” Publishing House published a book “Noun Roots in the Azerbaijani language” by the Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs of ANAS Institute of Linguistics after Nasimi, Ph.D in Philology, Associate Professor Maharramli Baba.

The scientific editor of the publication is academician Naghisoylu Mohsun, reviewers are Doctors of philology, Professor Elbrus Azizov and Mammadli Gipchag.

The book provides etymological interpretation of monosyllabic and polysyllabic nouns in the Azerbaijani language. In this work the noun roots were analyzed in a comparative historical context and 83 words were defined.

The book consists of two chapters. The 1st chapter -"Monosyllabic nouns" and the 2nd - "Polysyllabic nouns".
