Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Nakhchivan Division held an event on “Heydar Aliyev - the eternal leader” dedicated to the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Head of the Division, academician Ismail Hajiyev told about the invaluable merit of the world-famous politician Heydar Aliyev in protection and development of the independent Azerbaijan.

He stressed that, the prominent statesman Heydar Aliyev was a political leader on a global scale.

Heydar Aliyev is a historical person, founder and architect of an independent Azerbaijan state, who have made great contributions on the world politics of the twentieth century, due to its consistent and focused state and political activities.

At the event, it was noted that, today Azerbaijan has embarked on a path of contemporary development and traditions of the great leader are successfully continued by its worthy successor, President Ilham Aliyev

The event listened a report "Heydar Aliyev - the eternal leader" by the leading researcher of the Department of New and Recent History of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology, PhD in History Musa Guliyev.
