The 5th meeting of the Scientific Council on Problems  of History of the Republican Scientific Research Coordination Council was held.

Firstly, the chairman of the board, academician Shahin Mustafayev informed the participants about the agenda issues.

During the meeting discussions were held on the relevance and scientific value of the problems researched in the field of historical science in various scientific institutions of the country, in particular, the dissertation topics meet the requirements of modern science. S. Mustafayev noted that the council should strengthen its work in this field and raise the emphasis on appropriate directions.

Afterwards, 22 dissertations were presented on specialties such as Homeland History, General History, Archeology, Ethnography and Ethnology, History of International Relations, Historiography, Science and History.

At the event, the dissertation topics were presented, including 8 doctors of sciences and 14 PhDs, and were approved.
