Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

A meeting devoted to the scientific and scientific-organizational activity of Nakhchivan Division of ANAS in 2018 was held.

First of all, the exhibition of the scientific-research institutions of the division was published in the current year.

Then, chairman of the department, academician Ismayil Hajiyev made a report on the activities of the organization in 2018. He noted that the order, decisions, orders and recommendations of the President, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as the Presidium of ANAS were performed at the highest level in the scientific-research institutions of the reporting year.

He said that research works on Nakhchivan's history, material and spiritual culture, cultural environment, natural resources, socio-economic development, geographical conditions, potential energy sources, biodiversity and ancient manuscripts are being conducted this year.

In the academic year, 820 scientific works were published in the academic year of the department, including 23 monographs, 15 books, 4 brochures, 3 methodical books, 9 booklets, 555 scientific articles, 213 conference materials and 7 theses. He also said that four patents were issued during the research period.

Speaking about the international relations of the organization, I.Hajiyev emphasized the close scientific cooperation with scholars and researchers of the scientific and educational institutions of Turkey, Iran, Russia, Georgia, USA and France.

Academician Tariyel Talibov, corresponding members of ANAS - Fakhraddin Safarli, Abulfaz Guliyev, Aliaddin Abbasov, Doctor on philology Farman Khalilov and PhD in physics-mathematics Gulu Haziyev appreciated the work carried out in the department during the year.

The honorary decree of the Presidium of the Department head of the Department of Onomastics of the Institute of Arts, Language and Literature, Firudin Rzayev, and Head of the Department of Scientific Organization, PhD on Agrarian Sciences, Associate Professor Orkhan Bagirov were awarded "The Scientist of the Year".

At the end a video recording was demonstrated reflecting the annual scientific activities of research institutions.
