Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

ANAS Division of Social Sciences held a general meeting on December 27. The event was attended by members of the department, heads of relevant scientific institutions, scientific secretaries, executors of important outcomes.

Opening meeting Vice-President ANAS, academician Isa Habibbayli congratulated the team on December 31 - Day of Solidarity of the Azerbaijanis and the New Year, wishing the success of their work. Noted that, annual reports will be distributed to scientific institutions and corresponding organizations.

He said that, in 2018, the 100th anniversary of the ADR was celebrated at the state level. In connection with the execution of the Order of President Ilham Aliyev “On the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic” dated May 16, 2017, a number of events were held at ANAS. In accordance with Action Plan various activities were carried out in the scientific institutions of the department.

Further, Academician-Secretary of the Divion, academician Nargiz Akhundova in her speech brought to the attention information about republican and international events held at the institutes of the department, important steps taken in the direction of international cooperation, work done on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the ADR.

She noted that, this year, research work on 139 topics, 34 problems and 325 research projects were carried out at the UN. She noted that, the institutes of the Division were published 2232 works, 161 are books, 1721 articles and 350 theses. N.Akhundova stressed that, 8 books, 326 articles and 48 theses were published abroad.

This year, 35 articles were published in journals with impact factor. 1370 references were counted to the works of the UN scientists. N.Akhundova said that, in the reporting year the UN held 19 international, 27 republican conferences.

Then, the reports of the institutes were listened. After listening the reports were held discussions, it was decided to send reports to the Presidium of ANAS.
