Presidium of ANAS held a meeting with the director of Moscow branch of UNESCO 

Dendev Bodarch and who is first secretary of Azerbaijan National Commission for UNESCO under the President of Azerbaijan Republic Gunay Afandiyeva. 

First, director of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, academician-secretary of ANAS, Prof. Rasim Alguliyev informed about main directions of IIT. He noted the application information technologies in education, informatization of the education process and the solution of different scientific problems are of the important duties of IIT. Innovative progress in this field should be achieved, state programs and projects for the development of education system in the country had been adopted, scientist mentioned. He spoke about the events realized toward the ICT application in the education specified in the Action Plan approved in connection with announcing the current year as the “ICT year”.

Professor has also emphasized an importance of enhancing collaboration and holding joint projects of the Institute of information Technology of ANAS with the UNESCO. 

In his turn, the guest informed about the organization he represented, and stressed significance of the integration of education and science. The skills of advanced technology usage, advancing and developing knowledge are of key tasks of education system.
