Executive Power of Zangilan region held a meeting on the preparation of the "Karabakh dialectological atlas of the Azerbaijani language"

Employees of the department of ANAS Institute of Linguistics after Nasimi visited the Executive Power of Zangilan region. The atlas is being prepared to implement the the relevant paragraph of the “State Program on the Usage of the Azerbaijani Language in the Context of Globalization in accordance with the requirements of the times and the development of linguistics in the country”, approved by the AR President dated April 9, 2013.

During the meeting, head of the Executive Power Ramiz Hasanov informed on the history, settlements and ethnography of Zangilan.

Head of the Department, Ph.D. in Philogy, Associate Professor Kifayat Imamguliyeva noted that, the atlas is being prepared in Azerbaijani, Russian and English. The atlas will contain not only the phonetics of dialectical facts, but also vocabulary and grammar.

During the visit, the staff of the Institute of Linguistics was informed on monuments of material culture of the Khojavand region, dialect, ethnography, way of life, cooking, etc.
