CSL prepared the list of victims of Azerbaijani freedom and repression whose graves are unknown

The event was organized by the Central Scientific Library of ANAS on "List of victims of Azerbaijani freedom and repression whose graves are unknown ".

The event was opened by CSL Director, PhD in medicine Leyla Imanova and said that the organization led by the list of victims and victims of repression was made a contribution to the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. He pointed out that the prepared list was put into the electronic catalog and included into the National Digital Memory (NDM) database.

Noting that the list is currently open and is supposed to make additions in the future, L.Imanova called on the public, especially those from Turkey and Iran, to support CSL in this issue.

Then Nazila Hasanova, the head of the Section of Acquisition and Systematization made a presentation on the list. Bolsheviks persecuted and slandered the people of Azerbaijan during the early years of their rule and that the people involved in the creation of the ADR turned into victims of repression, the intelligentsia, military, cultural and professional figures, scholars, writers, teachers and religious figures in Siberia, Kazakhstan, and that their burial places were not publicly known, she said.

The event was also attended by Deputy Director of Scientific Foundation of National History Museum of ANAS, PhD in History Mahfuza Zeynalova, Editor-in-Chief of "Sharg" Newspaper, PhD in History Akif Ashirli, writer, Doctor of Sociological Sciences Afgan Valiyev and others praised the initiative of the CSL and emphasized the importance of adding ADR emigrants' research into the list.
