Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

On February 8 opened the first electronic reading hall of the Scientific Archive and Library of the Institute of History named after A.Bakikhanov of ANAS.

Academician Akif Alizadeh, president of ANAS, said that special attention was given to science in our country and spoke about the measures taken to develop this sphere.

Director of the Institute of History, Academician Yagub Mahmudov informed about the scientific archive and library of this scientific institution.

It was noted that in recent years an electronic catalog of archive documents and books has been prepared at the institute. 170,000 archive documents, 17,000 books, electronic and print version of "Azerbaijan" newspaper (1993-2017), scientific journals, dissertations, maps, etc. are included.

Then the participants of the event became familiar with the conditions created in the Scientific Archive and Library.
