Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On July 22, 2014 was held a meeting dedicated to the establishment of Scientific Publishing Council of ANAS.

The event was opened by the President of the National Academy of Sciences Akif Alizadeh and informed about the issue on the agenda. Head of ANAS stressed the need for establishment of Scientific Publishing Council. Publication of the new council will suit with the requirements of modern scientific achievements of the world, transferring scientific successes to the world community as well as resolving of problems connected with the print, he noted.

Academician Teymur Karimi, academician Vasif Babazadeh academician Irada Huseynova, academician Urkhan Alekperov, Doctor in Law Alish Gasimov, and others expressed their suggestions and recommendations.

At the end, proposed composition of the board of scientific publishing council has been accepted. It was decided to operate physics, mathematics and engineering, chemistry, earth, social, humanitarian and life sciences sectors within the council. Also, it was decided to prepare the regulations governing the operation of the project and submit to Presidium of ANAS.
