Director of the Institute of Petrochemical Processes, academician Vagif Abbasov, a young scientist winer of the President of ANAS Prize, Doctor of Chemical Sciences Ismail Ismailov and the delegation of the ANAS High-Tech Park under the leadership of the Director of the Park, Ph.D. in Economy Nazim Shukurov got acquainted with the efficient technological heavy oil processing in Sumgait.

During the visit, it was noted that the processing of petroleum products and residues is currently one of the urgent problems, and in recent years, with the participation of Azerbaijani scientists and engineers in Albania, Afghanistan and Kazakhstan, work has been done on the processing of heavy oil.

Also, Mongolian President Khaltmaagiin Battulga visited Park in September 2018, and put forward a proposal to create production sites for the processing of heavy oil, industrial, motor and lubricants in Mongolia with the participation of Azerbaijani scientists.

According to the order of ANAS President, academician Akif Alizadeh was identified the possibilities for the implementation of these works were analyzed and the staff of this project, which is intended for future commercialization.

After completing the study of oil in Mongolia, and establishing a favorable direction for the country, it was decided to organize production.

In connection with the above, it was decided to establish the coordination of the work of the triangle of ANAS, the private sector and ANAS High-Tech Park.
