The results of the preparation of doctor's and PHd's for the 2018-2019 academic year discussed at the meeting

The General Meeting of the Division of Social Sciences (DSS) of ANAS was held.

First Vice President of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbeyli familiarized the participants with the issues on the agenda. Speaking on the subject "Social Sciences: Today and Tomorrow", the scientist talked about the activities of the DSS in recent years and the measures implemented in the scientific institutions. I.Habibbeyli gave his recommendations on further effective work.

The results of the preparation of doctor of philosophy and PHd for the 2018-2019 academic year discussed at the meeting and included in the division.

Academician, academician Nargiz Akhundova said that the dissertation topics should be selected in accordance with the requirements of modern science. According to the statistical information for the 2018-2019 academic year, the academician-secretary said 44 became PhD and 45 became doctor’s students.

Following the discussions, dissertation topics and scientific supervisors were approved and it was decided to present the results of the admission to the Presidium of ANAS.

Other decisions of the division were made in the structure of the Institute of Philosophy and the composition of the Scientific Council of the National History Museum of Azerbaijan. The event also decided to celebrate the 70th jubilee of Doctor of Historical Sciences Asadulla Jafarov.

Then a number of personnel issues were considered.
