ANAS Institute of Manuscripts held a scientific-practical conference on “Jafar Jabbarli’s 120th anniversary or a new view at the sources”.

First, conference participants familiarized with the exhibition of materials from the personal archive of an outstanding playwright, poet and public figure Jafar Jabbarli. Copies of autographs of manuscripts of the writer, the first editions of his works and personal documents were demonstrated for the first time.

During the conference Deputy Director of the Institute, Ph.D. in Philology Pasha Kerimov delivered a paper on “Friendship of peoples and literary relations stored in the personal archive of Jafar Jabbarli”. The scientist spoke about the samples keept in the rich archive by writer.

Further reports were delivered by Doctor of Philology Naila Samedova on “The Personality of Jfar Jabbarly in Memories”, scientific secretary of the institute, Ph.D. in Philology Azizaga Najafov on “Creativity of Jafar Jabbarli in ADR period”, Ph.D. in Philology Aytan Guliyeva on “Letters from the Jafar Jabbarli’s archive”.

In conclusion, the granddaughter of the playwright, director of the House-Museum of Jfar Jabbarli, Gamar Seyfeddingizi thanked the leadership of the institute for organizing the conference and exhibition.

Note that, the event was held in accordance with the Order of President Ilham Aliyev dated December 17, 2018 "On the celebration of the 120th anniversary of Jafar Jabbarli".
