An international seminar on " Actual Problems of Solar and Earth Physics" was held at the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory named after N. Tusi on the theme " Actual Problems of Solar and Earth Physics" organized by Institute of Terrestrial Magnetism, Ionosphere and Radiowave propagation (IZMIRAN) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The main purpose of the event was to discuss the current state and prospects of cooperation between the Azerbaijani and Russian physicists in the field of Solar and Solar-Earth relations.
Rector of the Baku State University, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics and Mathematics Elchin Babayev opened the seminar, saying that holding various international scientific events in our country is a result of Azerbaijan's successful domestic and foreign policies and wished the participants success.
Afterward, ShAR Director, correspondent member of ANAS Namik Jalilov assessed the event as a high-profile initiative and spoke about the history of joint cooperation of scientific and research institutions.
Russian professors Vladimir Kuznetsov and Vladimir Obridko emphasized that the seminar will make a great contribution to the researchers.
Later, reports on important scientific findings of scientists from both countries in recent years were listened. Scientists gave detailed information on the theoretical results obtained in the ShAO and İZMİRAN.
In addition, the results of researches on non-stationary processes occurring in the Sun and future prospects of their impact on the Earth biosphere were discussed.
At the end of the event certificates were presented to the participants.
