Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

An extended meeting of the Presidium of the Nakhchivan Division of ANAS was dedicated to the results of the first quarter of 2019.

The chairman of the department, acad. Ismayil Hajiyev spoke about the tasks, the successful results and the drawbacks.

Then, the head of the Scientific-organizational department, PhD in Agrarian Sciences Orkhan Bagirov informed about the scientific-research works of the department in the first quarter of this year. He noted that in the first quarter of 2019, 6 meetings of the Presidium of the Nakhchivan drawbacks were held. He gave detailed information about the done works.

It was noted that in the first quarter of this year, 176 scientific works were published, including a monograph, 4 books, 1 methodical material, 143 scientific articles, 26 conference materials, and also 2 booklets and a map. 29 articles and 14  conference materials were published abroad. 11 of them are published in journals with impact factor.

At present, the department continues its studies on the following dissertations: 15 doctoral candidates, 40 dissertants.

It was noted that the employees cooperated efficiently with the scientific and educational institutions of Turkey, Kazakhstan, Iran, Russia, USA and France.

Academician Ismayil Hajiyev and correspondent member Abulfaz Guliyev were awarded "Manas":  the service of the Turkic world culture” by the Turkish Academy of Sciences and Issik Kul State University in Kyrgyzstan and academician I.Hajiyev deserved other awards of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Academician Tariyel Talibov was awarded “For the services to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic” and Doctor of Chemistry Fizza Mammadova was awarded the "Progress" Medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan and other awards

Director of the Institute of Bioresources, academician Tariyel Talibov, director of the Institute of Art, Language and Literature, correspondent member of ANAS Abulfaz Guliyev, director of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology, correspondent member of ANAS Fakhraddin Safarli and Director of Institute of Natural Resources, ANAS correspondent member Aliaddin Abbasov made a number of proposals.

Summing up the event, the head of the department gave relevant instructions to the directors regarding the tasks facing the scientific research institutes.
