“Historical and cultural heritage of Caucasian Albania in the context of human rights” International Conference was held at “Four Seasons Baku” hotel. The aim was to promote the heritage of Caucasian Albania, future discussions on the implementation of the measures envisaged. Members of Parliament, representatives of the relevant ministries and committees, representatives of international organizations, scientists participated at the meeting.

The event co-organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Institute of Human Rights (IHR), supported by National Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan in UNESCO and the Copyright Agency of Republic of Azerbaijan.

Opening the conference Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfaz Garaev spoke about the importance of the event. “President Ilham Aliyev gave special place to study of Caucasian Alban heritage in Development Concept “Azerbaijan 2020: Look into the future” speaker noted.

Later deputy of Milli Majlis, director of Institute of Human Rights of ANAS, Dr. in law Ayten Mustafayeva, first Secretary of the National Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan for UNESCO, Gunay Efendiyeva, Director of Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, deputy of Milli Majlis, Professor Gulchohre Mammadova and Kamran Imanov made speeches at the event.

Winners of the best articles on the subject “Cultural heritage and historical and cultural reserves” were awarded at the event, the film was shown.
