Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

International Engineering Academy (IAE), Moscow held the General Meeting for the 2018 on April 26, 2019, in which 266 academy members from 15 countries took part.

President of the International Academy of Engineering Academician Boris Gusev delivered a paper.

Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Academy of Engineering, academician Ahad Janahmadov was elected as Chairman of the Mandate Commission of the meeting by unanimous decision of the General Meeting.

In his report he informed in detail about the results of the activities of the Azerbaijan Engineering Academy for 2018.

On the eve of the meeting, “Engineering Newspaper” (Moscow) published an article by the President of the Azerbaijan Engineering Academy, Vice-President of the International Engineering Academy, academician Arif Pashayev. This issue of the newspaper was distributed to the meeting participants.

In the article, the author focuses on diversification the economy and strengthening the non-oil segment of the country, as well as on industrialization, reviving the agricultural sector and implementing trans-regional projects. The article by academician A.Pashayev was highly appreciated by the participants of the General Meeting.

In conclusion, Council of Presidents of the International Academy of Engineering announced on the awarding of academician Arif Pashayev the Diamond Sign of IAE, for outstanding achievements in scientific, educational and publishing activities, a great contribution to the development of engineering, the development and implementation of non-destructive testing of materials and products for industry, special achievements in the development and implementation of large international projects.

A 1 member and 2 corresponding members were elected from Azerbaijan to the International Academy of Engineering, during the secret ballot.
