Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The delegation headed by the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, academician Alexander Sergeyev, visited the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS. The meeting was attended by deputy president Talia Khabriyeva, Deputy Head Valeriya Belyanina, Head of Foreign Relations Department of REA Olga Gluhovtseva, president of ANAS, President of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh,vice-president of ANAS, Director of Institute of Information Technology, Academician Rasim Alguliyev, Director of the Institute of Physics, Academician Nazim Mammadov, Head of International Relations Department of the Presidium, Associate Professor Esmira Alirzayeva and others attended.

Director of Institute gave detailed information about the Institute. said that the organization consisted of Scientific Research, Training Innovation Center, E-library, Multimedia as well as Data Center of AzScienceNet Science Network, Internet Service Centers, Network Security, and AzScienceCert, he noted.

Research is conducting on Big Data, cybersecurity, software engineering, electronic science, information economy, social networks analysis and etc.

He also noted that the İnstitute has long-term close cooperation with the Institute for Information Transmission Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Kharkevich Institute).
