ANAS Institute of Philosophy jointly with the Institute of Geography held an institute-wide seminar on “The Light of Stones - Gems in Gurani-Kerim and their scientific and philosophical essence”.

Leading researcher of the Institute of Geography, PhD in Geological and Mineralogical sciences Rashid Fataliyev noted that, the main purpose of the seminar was to study the philosophy of the relationship between man and nature, the role of stones in human life, and the value of precious stones in sacred books. Then, he gave a classification of precious stones.

At the seminar, head of the Department of the Institute of Philosophy, corresponding member of ANAS Bunyadzadeh Konul spoke about the precious stones that are mentioned in the biblical writings and in Gurani-Kerim. In the end, she gave a philosophical analysis of the four gems mentioned in the Quran.

Doctor of Philosophy Rafig Azimov, Adil Asadov, Fizuli Gurbanov, Afag Rustamova and others noted the importance of the seminar.
